The rates on this site are computed every hour as a consensus of several independent sources. When sources disagree meaningfully, the last verified value is shown with its own timestamp instead of publishing a suspicious number. This page explains exactly how the numbers are produced.
Every rate starts from several independent, well-known market sources — online price references and public market data — read automatically every hour. No number on this board comes from a single source; what is published is the consensus of several. Sources that effectively echo one another, copying each other's data, count as a single voice in the calculation, so a repeated number can never pose as independent confirmation. 2KOON is not affiliated with any exchange, bank, or institution, and takes no paid or custom quotes from anyone.
Every reading is checked before it enters the calculation: values outside plausible bounds are discarded, units are normalized, and outliers that sit meaningfully away from the rest of the market are removed. If too few healthy sources remain for a rate, no consensus is computed for it that cycle — an incomplete result is never published.
The published rate is the average of the validated values that remain, rounded to the market's customary increment. Non-dollar currencies are derived by combining the free-market dollar consensus with each currency's global cross-rate, so the whole board always stays internally consistent. Crypto toman equivalents come from their global dollar prices at that same dollar rate. Gold and coins are measured directly from the market.
If a rate jumps implausibly or the sources disagree beyond tolerance, that rate is held: the last verified value stays on the board with its own timestamp, and no suspicious number takes its place. Nothing is ever entered by hand or guessed, and every number on the board carries its own timestamp. Any change to this method will be announced on this page.
